Palestinians benefit from IT boom
There are not many areas of Palestinian businesses one could describe as "booming". But the information technology, or IT, industry is developing an international reputation for excellence as overseas companies such as Microsoft and CISCO are now investing.
In 2011, IT businesses themselves in the West Bank have alone contributed $50m to the Palestinian economy. The sector is now forecast to grow by 20 per cent a year.
