Obama's infamous kill list and casual disregard for due process represent the epitome of American exceptionalism. It's the attitude that the rules do not apply to our government or largest corporations, because of our unique and "exceptional" role as world defender of freedom and democracy. If it sounds nutty to think anyone can dispense democracy from the "barrel of a gun" , or protect due process with arbitrary drone strikes against Americans, you understand it just fine.
